Fork Sculpture
I have been making fork sculptures manually (with only bare hands) for 15 years.
Each is a unique study in balance, form, and will.
The viewer experiences the energy of the transformation of the common utensil into something animated and alive, captured in a moment of action.
For the past 8 years I have employed 3D digital imaging and direct digital manufacturing technology to capture the very delicate balance of select pieces and reproduce them at enlarged scale.
Presented in large scale, the fragile balance and the questions of how and why are magnified exponentially, and the viewer is forced to accept the reality of technology.
The images presented enable larger scale representation of the sculptures without the excessive budget required for making a sculpture.

Scale and material are only limited by budget and time.
Artists Background
In 2004 I began working with Direct Dimensions, a 3D Imaging Technology firm who provides 3D Digital Solutions to the worlds leading organizations. In addition to providing me with access to the technology I needed to pursue my own work, it put me in the position to help artists and conservators to find viable solutions for digitally documenting, modifying, analyzing, and/or reproducing sculpture with the aid of digital technology.
I have a broad range of customers and have enjoyed a colorful variety of challenges that have resulted in museum exhibitions, restorations and publications related to existing art and artifacts, and a wealth of projects where I have been instrumental in an artists creative process.
